I am extremely fortunate to live a very short drive from the gorgeous Wolfe’s Neck Farm. My family and I visit often for the many events they host throughout the year, as well as just to walk around, see the animals and enjoy the sights and sounds of this beautiful working farm on the coast of Maine. They keep cows, sheep, goats, geese and chickens, as well as raising their own vegetables, and are open to the public year round. With hiking trails, farming programs, bike, canoe & kayak rentals and more, it’s a great spot to visit. The variety of things to do are also what make it such a great wedding venue. I am a big fan of the wedding weekend, and that is certainly a possibility at Wolfe’s Neck. Spend Friday relaxing, maybe shopping at Freeport’s outlets or exploring the bay on a kayak. You and your wedding party can spend the night in the waterfront cottages and be ready to go in the morning. After an amazing Saturday wedding, retire again to the cottages, and enjoy a relaxing Sunday recovering from the previous night’s fun.
